EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber) is a rubber material that is suitable for use over a wide temperature range and has excellent resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing. EPDM is also resistant to hot water and steam. Peroxide vulcanised EPDM materials have better resistance to temperature and chemicals and achieve better compressive stability values than sulphur vulcanised materials.

Resilience:

  • Good resistance to: hot water and hot steam, many polar solvents (e.g. alcohols, ketones, esters), many organic and inorganic acids and bases, washing salts, silicone oils and lubricants, glycol-based brake fluids (special grades), ozone, weathering, aging and UV.
  • Not resistant to: all types of mineral oil products (oils, lubricants, fuels).

Temperature range of use: -45°C to +130°C (sulfur vulcanized) -55°C to +150°C (peroxide vulcanized)
