When selecting the appropriate scrap, the hardness of the material (colour of the scrap) must be selected
and to choose material with or without reinforcement.
In the e-shop you can find PU scales EAGLE from the American manufacturer FENNER, which
is a world leader in the production and development of polyurethane belts. We offer
also more cost-effective, but of the same quality, belts from the Italian manufacturer PELOSI.

Material, reinforcement, hardness (colour)
Hardness (colour)
Polyurethane profiles are produced in several material hardnesses. Different
ShoreA hardnesses are distinguished from each other by colour. E.g. 90A Red.
Reinforcement
Polyurethane profiles are manufactured with or without PES reinforcement.
Unreinforced materials are suitable for transport purposes and for common lighter
drives.
Reinforced materials have PES polyester wire or tape inside the profile.
Reinforced profiles are less flexible and therefore more rigid. They are therefore suitable
for mounting longer conveyors with heavier loads or for more demanding
power transmission applications.
A frequently requested material for non-food applications is unreinforced
GREEN 89A polyurethane. Materials suitable for food applications are listed below,
see Scope of application.
Choosing the right length
Select a belt length that is 1 - 8% shorter than the actual required length.
This will ensure correct belt preload without shifting the pulley axles.
Refer to the Preload Tables for the appropriate preload for each material.
Area of application
Welded belts are used as replacements for expensive transport belts.
belts when they are used side by side in a set and are used as a conveyor or
used as drive belts for machine drives. Broom belts are also often
used as a service universal standby replacement for drive belts
or when non-standard belt lengths are required.

Directives, certificates (info)
RoHS is the European directive on the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in
manufacturing. These include cadmium, mercury, lead or polybrominated biphenyls.
All materials except PU 95A Beige meet the conditions.
REACH is the acronym for chemical policy in the EU. It was formulated on the basis of
Regulation 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and refers to hazardous
substances manufactured in or imported into the EU.
All materials meet the conditions.
The FDA is the US government's food and drug control agency that tests
materials for use in direct contact with food. Materials that have been
independently tested and verified to meet FDA conditions:

EC Food Safety - is a European certificate verifying compliance with the requirements for
materials for direct contact with food according to European Regulation 10/2011.
