Scope of application

For all applications where it is difficult to simply replace
endless belt. The metre can be connected directly on the machine, without any
disassembly of the machine. The metre can also be used to ensure an emergency supply of belts,
because any length of belt can be produced in no time. The metrage is
is often used to drive conveyor systems.

Coupling and bond strength

The metre is connected by a plate or hinge coupling. Articulated coupling
is more expensive than a plate coupling, but it puts less stress on the extremities than a plate coupling
holes of the ballast on smaller pulley diameters. To avoid tearing
of the coupling pin, the metrage has a special design where the horizontal layer
of tensile fibres is replaced by a fabric that fills the entire profile. Because
the belt has only 50 % strength at the joint, it is suitable for normal
drives or conveyors. For heavy-duty and heavily stressed drives it is
it is preferable to choose the PowerTwist or T-Link sectional metre.
