FFKM (Perfluorinated Rubber) is the elastomer with the highest chemical and heat resistance among elastomers. Some types of FFKM are able to withstand temperatures in excess of 300°C. The resistance to chemicals is almost universal and comparable to that of PTFE. The advantage of FFKM is the combination of the chemical and thermal stability of PTFE with the elastic properties of rubber.

These special elastomers are used in applications where safety requirements and high maintenance demands are sufficient reasons to invest in these materials and where standard elastomers cannot be used.

Durability:

  • Good resistance to: Virtually all chemicals, ozone, weathering, aging and UV.
  • Not resistant to: fluorinated compounds.

Temperature range of use: -25°C to +270°C, special grades can be used from -15°C to -40°C or +240°C to +340°C.
